Oasis Drinks by the Carton: Sparkling and Coconut Water for Shops, Cafes, Offices and Gyms
Shops, cafes, office pantries and gyms in the UAE buy cold drinks the same way: by the carton, on a schedule, with a fridge that has to stay full. This guide covers the two Oasis lines most often bought that way, Oasis sparkling drink and Oasis coconut water with pulp, and sets out what each one is, how it is packed, how to store it, and how many cartons a typical site gets through.
Two lines, two different jobs
Oasis sparkling drink is a carbonated soft drink in seven fruit flavours. Oasis coconut water with pulp is a still drink made of coconut water and coconut pulp with nothing added. Most buyers stock both, because they answer different requests: one customer wants something fizzy and sweet, the next wants something without added sugar.
| Oasis sparkling drink | Oasis coconut water with pulp | |
|---|---|---|
| Can sizes | 350ml PET can with aluminium lid | 330ml and 500ml cans |
| Carton | 24 cans | 24 cans |
| Pallet | 100 cartons, 2,400 cans | Ask when ordering |
| Shelf life | 12 months | 24 months |
| Flavours or sizes | Lychee, mango, lime, peach, green apple, blueberry, strawberry | 330ml and 500ml |
Oasis sparkling drink: what a buyer should know
It is a carbonated, fruit flavoured soft drink. The flavour comes from flavouring rather than fruit, and no colour is added, so every flavour pours clear. It is not sparkling water or mineral water, and it should not be shelved or described as either. There are no declared allergens.
The ingredients are water, fructose, carbon dioxide, flavouring, acidity regulators (citric and malic acid), a stabiliser (trisodium citrate), a preservative (potassium sorbate) and sweeteners. Six flavours are sweetened with aspartame and acesulfame K and carry the statement "contains a source of phenylalanine". Mango is the exception: it uses acesulfame K and sucralose, with no aspartame. Customers do ask about this, so it helps to know it.
Sugar per can, lab tested
| Flavour | Total sugars per 350ml can |
|---|---|
| Mango | 13.1 g |
| Strawberry | 14.1 g |
| Blueberry | 14.4 g |
| Green apple | 14.5 g |
| Lychee | 14.8 g |
| Peach | 14.9 g |
| Lime | 15.8 g |
A regular cola of the same size carries more than twice that amount. Mango is both the lowest in sugar and the one flavour without aspartame, which makes it the easiest answer when a customer asks for the lighter option. The mango carton of 24 is a sensible anchor for a first order, with the other flavours from the Oasis sparkling cartons collection around it.
Oasis coconut water with pulp: what a buyer should know
Each can holds 95% coconut water and 5% coconut pulp. Nothing is added: no added sugar and no preservative. The sugar on the label comes from the coconut itself, so the accurate wording for a shelf label or menu is "no added sugar". The pH is about 4.8, and a certificate of analysis is available on request for buyers who need one on file.
| Per can | 330ml | 500ml |
|---|---|---|
| Energy | 79 kcal | 120 kcal |
| Total sugars | 19 g | 29 g |
| Potassium | 297 mg | 450 mg |
| Sodium | 99 mg | 150 mg |
The potassium in a 330ml can is about what a banana gives. The 330ml carton of 24 suits shop fridges and office pantries, where one can is one serving. The 500ml carton of 24 suits gyms and sports clubs, where people want a larger drink after a session. Both are in the coconut water cartons collection.
How many cartons does a site need
The method is the same everywhere: estimate cans per day, multiply by the days between deliveries, divide by 24 and round up. The examples below are starting points to adjust after the first two weeks.
| Site | Assumption | Cans per week | Cartons per week |
|---|---|---|---|
| Office pantry | 30 staff, one can each per working day | 150 | 7 (6.25 rounded up) |
| Gym | 60 visits a day, one in five buys a drink, 7 days | 84 | 4 (3.5 rounded up) |
| Cafe | 15 canned drinks a day, 6 days | 90 | 4 (3.75 rounded up) |
| Grocery fridge | 2 cans per flavour a day, 7 flavours, 7 days | 98 | 5 (4.1 rounded up) |
For the gym, put most of the order into coconut water in 500ml cans. For the office, a split of about two thirds sparkling and one third coconut water in 330ml is a reasonable start. For a grocery, one carton per sparkling flavour lasts close to two weeks at the rate above, which keeps all seven on the shelf without tying up storage.
Sites that grow into regular large orders can move to pallets of sparkling drink: 100 cartons, or 2,400 cans, per pallet.
Storage, rotation and serving
- Store cartons cool and dry, off the floor and out of direct sun.
- Rotate first in, first out. Sparkling drink has a 12 month shelf life and coconut water 24 months, so check each carton's best before date on arrival.
- Chill before serving and keep the fridge full rather than chilling a whole carton at once.
- Shelve sparkling drink with soft drinks, not with water, and coconut water with chilled still drinks.
Ordering
All Oasis lines are halal and made under HACCP to UAE standards. Payment is online or by bank transfer, and delivery is free on UAE orders above AED 300, so a mixed order of sparkling and coconut water cartons usually clears that easily.
