Oasis Sparkling Drinks by the Carton: A Stocking Guide for UAE Shops

Seoul Oasis 4 min read

Most of the questions we get about Oasis sparkling drinks come from people buying for a counter, a fridge or a staff kitchen rather than for one evening at home. They want to know how many cans are in a carton, how much space a pallet takes, which flavours to start with and how long the stock keeps. This guide answers those questions in the order a buyer usually asks them, using the figures from the product specification and the laboratory reports rather than estimates.

Oasis is our own sparkling soft drink: a carbonated, fruit flavoured drink in a 350ml PET can with an aluminium lid, made in seven flavours. Every flavour is sold as a single can and as a carton of 24, so a shop can test a flavour with a few cans before committing to cartons.

What a carton and a pallet hold

The numbers below are the ones to work from when you plan shelf space, a fridge or a stockroom.

Unit Cans Volume
Single can 1 350ml
Carton 24 8.4 litres
Pallet, 100 cartons 2,400 840 litres

A carton of 24 is the practical unit for most shops, cafes and offices. It fits on a stockroom shelf, it is easy for one person to carry, and it lets you hold several flavours without tying up space in any one of them. A full pallet only makes sense for a business with its own storage and steady weekly turnover, or for a buyer supplying several outlets.

Simple carton maths

  • An office of 20 people drinking one can each working day uses 100 cans in a five day week. That is just over four cartons, so order five and carry the remainder into the next week.
  • A cafe selling 12 cans a day empties a carton every two days, so a fortnight of stock is around seven cartons.
  • One carton of each of the seven flavours is 168 cans, a sensible first order for a shop that wants to see which flavours its customers pick.

Choosing the flavour mix

The seven flavours are lychee, mango, lime, peach, green apple, blueberry and strawberry. They share one recipe base and differ in flavouring, sweetness and, in one case, sweeteners. The table shows total sugars per 350ml can as measured by an accredited laboratory.

Flavour Total sugars per can Sweeteners
Mango 13.1 g Acesulfame K, sucralose
Strawberry 14.1 g Aspartame, acesulfame K
Blueberry 14.4 g Aspartame, acesulfame K
Green apple 14.5 g Aspartame, acesulfame K
Lychee 14.8 g Aspartame, acesulfame K
Peach 14.9 g Aspartame, acesulfame K
Lime 15.8 g Aspartame, acesulfame K

For comparison, a regular cola in a can of this size carries more than twice the sugar of any flavour above. That is a useful line for staff to have ready when a customer asks how sweet the cans are.

Mango deserves a place in every first order. It is the lowest sugar flavour in the range and the only one made without aspartame, using acesulfame K and sucralose instead. Customers who read labels, or who avoid aspartame, have a clear choice in it. The other six flavours contain aspartame and carry the statement that they contain a source of phenylalanine.

Beyond mango, a balanced counter usually holds one sharp flavour and one or two softer ones. Lime is the sharpest can in the range. Strawberry and blueberry are the familiar berry flavours, and green apple sits between tart and sweet. Lychee and peach are the more perfumed, floral pair. Stock of each flavour moves, so check the collection page before you plan an exact mix.

Storage and shelf rotation

Shelf life is 12 months. The cans keep at ambient temperature, so they do not need cold storage until they go into the fridge for sale. The condition that matters is a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. A stockroom or a car boot that heats up through a UAE summer is what quietly works against the date.

  • Keep cartons off the floor and away from windows and roller doors that take the afternoon sun.
  • Write the delivery date on each carton as it comes in.
  • Open the oldest carton first and load new cans at the back of the fridge, not the front.
  • Chill before selling. A warm carbonated drink tastes thin and overly sweet, and customers judge the flavour on the first can.

Label points customers ask about

Staff selling the cans get the same few questions, and it helps to have plain answers.

  • Colour: there is no colour added, so the drink pours clear whatever the flavour on the can.
  • Allergens: none declared.
  • Ingredients: water, fructose, carbon dioxide, flavouring, acidity regulators (citric and malic acid), stabiliser (trisodium citrate), preservative (potassium sorbate) and sweeteners.
  • Halal, and made under HACCP to UAE standards. A certificate of analysis is available on request for buyers who need it on file.

It is a flavoured soft drink, not sparkling water and not a fruit drink, and it is worth describing it that way on a menu board so nobody is surprised by the sweetness.

Single cans or cartons

If you are not sure which flavours will sell, start with single cans and taste them with your team. Once two or three flavours are clearly moving, switch to cartons, which keep reordering simple and keep the fridge consistent from week to week.
