Oasis Coconut Water 500ml: The Bigger Can and the Carton

Two of those numbers deserve a straight comment rather than a sales line.

The potassium, at 450 mg, is roughly what you would get from a banana. That is a genuine contribution to a day rather than a dramatic one, and it is worth knowing which of those two things you are buying.

The sugar, at 29 grams, is the honest caveat. None of it was added and all of it came out of the coconut, but 29 grams in one sitting is still 29 grams. Second, presentation. The pulp settles, so cans that have been standing want a gentle turn before they go out to a customer. A can poured without shaking looks thin in the glass and leaves the good part behind.

Third, the pairing. Coconut water sells best where the food is hot or rich. It works next to spiced grills, fried food and anything with chilli, because the sweetness resets the palate. Gyms and juice counters tend to move the 500ml can faster than any other size.
